What is bevel gear?
Jul 11, 2018

Bevel gears are used to transfer the motion and power between the two intersecting shafts, and in general machinery the angle between the two axes of the bevel gear is equal to 90° (but may not be equal to 90°). Similar to cylindrical gears, bevel gears are divided into cone, tooth top cone, tooth root cone and base cone. The cone has big and small ends, the corresponding end of the circle is called the Fractal circle (its radius is R), Tooth top circle, tooth root circle and base circle. The motion of a pair of bevel gears is equivalent to a pair of cone for pure rolling
